Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy promise to you is quite simple because we take privacy very seriously. Firstly, we will never share any personal information that you supply to us at any time without your permission. Websites connected to the Sunderland Forum can’t be more clear than that. To put it another way, if you join any of our websites, we will never give out any information that you give us unless you tell us otherwise.

In short, you may ask what information we may gather. For the most part, very little. However, by joining any website, you will inevitably give some information to it. For example, you may give a name or an email address. In this case, we will never give this information away to any third party. In effect, your PC needs to communicate with our servers for them to interact. Obviously, we just allow this to happen. So, basically your information stays there! In the event that you communicate with in other ways, our policy will remain the same.

Cookie Policy

To begin with, this page explains our cookie policy. The Sunderland Local News Headlines site, like most others, uses cookies. In effect, these are small text files we add on your machine. For example, these help the site provide a better user experience for you. In general, cookies help to retain user preferences.  Obviously, they can store information for things like shopping carts, and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics.

Additionally, and as a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. On the whole, the most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. In the first place, we suggest consulting the Help section of your browser to start with. However, you may take a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.

Sunderland Local News and more!

At the present time, we run a few websites but they are all within one umbrella. In effect, our mother site is the Sunderland Forum. However, our privacy policy is the same all through our domains. The first thing to remember is that we will always put you first. Obviously, we will help to protect your privacy at all times. So, if you have any concerns either contact us via the tab above or through the forum.

Just to point out, the Sunderland Forum Team is giving a reminder for you to join our community and help us all by stating your views!
